ORGANIST AND MUSIC DIRECTOR (Part-time)
OUR SAVIOR LUTHERAN CHURCH - FISHKILL, NY
Seeking an organist and music director whose primary duties include playing three weekend services (one Saturday evening at 5:30 PM and two Sunday morning at 8:20 and 11:10 AM) in the rich Lutheran liturgical tradition and directing the choir (including Wednesday evening rehearsals). Roughly twenty additional services take place during the year, including holidays and Advent and Lent midweek services. The salary for this position shall be approximately $29,000. The organist shall have the right of first refusal for weddings and funerals.

The two-manual organ was built in 1963 by the Church Organ Company of Nixon, NJ. It is an electric-action unified organ of 4 extended ranks. New keyboards and a solid-state stop action were part of the 2008 renovation by Foley-Baker of Tolland, CT who also tune and maintain the instrument.

The Rockland County Choral Society is looking for a dynamic leader with experience conducting choral music, knowledge of the choral music repertoire, and the ability to work with singers, instrumentalists, and a Board of Directors. ORGANIST - (Part-Time)
FAIR STREET REFORMED CHURCH - KINGSTON, NY
The Fair Street Reformed Church in uptown Kingston, NY is looking for a Director of Music who would direct all aspects of the music program. We are a congregation with a long-standing appreciation of contemporary and traditional liturgical music. You would work with the Minister of Music and Worship Ministry to provide support for the Sunday services from September through July. The Sanctuary Organ is a 4 manual Austin (Opus 1300) built in 1925. It was completely rebuilt in 2007 by Odell Organs. The console, new in 2007, has extensive additions. The digital organ (the Echo) adds 13 new ranks. The memory combination is extended to 744 combinations. The organ has the ability to use a keyboard from the console bringing it to contemporary standards. It is regularly serviced and tuned by Rosenberry. Salary $150/service.

Specific tasks would include:
1.Working with Minister of Music to review music selections for Sunday worship.
2.Support the choirmaster during choir practice 1 hour/week.
3.Be available for special services.
4.Be available or arrange substitutes for weddings and funerals.
5.Arranging for substitute organists.

MINISTER OF MUSIC - (Part-Time)
FAIR STREET REFORMED CHURCH - KINGSTON, NY
The Fair Street Reformed Church in uptown Kingston, NY is looking for a Director of Music who would direct all aspects of the music program. We are a congregation with a long-standing appreciation of contemporary and traditional liturgical music. We have a modest music program consisting of a senior choir, praise team, two bell choirs, all accented with periodic performances by congregation's youngest singers. We have a 4 manual Austin (Opus 1300) organ that was completely rebuilt in 2007, and is carefully maintained through regularly tuning and servicing.

This position offers the opportunity to build a significant and lasting legacy of meaningful music programming for both the church and the larger community. 

As the Director of the Music your work would be based on developing and promoting Christ-centered music programs that supports the larger ministry in the church, and is nurturing for all our members. You would guide staff and consistory on all matters regarding music in the church, both professionally, and spiritually.

Currently structured as a contract employee, the position pays $250/week for 10-12 hours of work. We are hoping to build and grow the program in ways that will enhance worship, and speak to and engage the larger community’s interest in music. This could take the form of a music academy for young performers, a series of concerts, collaborations with regional music groups etc. The base salary would grow as the auxiliary programs develop.

There is also a Kawai KSP 30 Keyboard that is used for some anthems. Salary: $6,000 - $11,000 dependent upon experience and willingness to not only accompany, but also direct the choir.

We are an active congregation, and many have a love for music. Our current worship experience is mainly "Traditional" in nature, with a few modern elements, and there is a possibility of a second service that will be completely different in nature in the future (Though this isn't on our radar at this current time.)
