MUSIC DIRECTOR/MINISTER OF MUSIC
GRACE EPISCOPAL CHURCH - MILLBROOK, NY
Seeking a Music Director/Minister of Music to play piano and/or organ, lead a choir, accompany congregational singing and perhaps organize an instrumental group starting in December 2017. We will be having two-week try-outs beginning in September. The Music Director will be responsible for one Sunday service at 10:00 AM, with additional seasonal services. Adult choir rehearses prior to the Sunday service at 9:00 AM, with occasional mid-week choir rehearsal. Weekly worship planning meeting with Rector. Weddings and Funerals as needed based on availability; $250 per service. Salary is generous (commensurate with experience). MUSIC DIRECTOR/ORGANIST - (Full-Time)
SAINT ELIZABETH ANN SETON ROMAN CATHOLIC CHURCH - SHRUB OAK, NY
Saint Elizabeth Ann Seton is a vibrant suburban parish of 4,500 families, located in Northern Westchester County. We are seeking an energetic, organized, collaborative musician with strong keyboard (organ and piano) and directing skills, knowledge and appreciation of diverse styles of music, and competency in supporting liturgical worship. Principal responsibilities include the planning and implementing of music for parish church, Religious Education Program and parish school liturgies. (Weekend: 1 Vigil, 5 Sunday; Holy Day: 1 Vigil, 4 Day). Also, the individual is expected to train and oversee a volunteer cantor program and numerous choirs: traditional, contemporary, children, and youth bell. A thorough familiarity with the Roman Rite is essential, as well as a Master’s Degree or equivalent training. Proficiency in voice, choral music, choir development, keyboard skills, orchestration and conducting is expected, as are computer and word processing skills for the creation of bulletin articles, worship aids and programs. The applicant must have a good rapport with all age groups. Weddings and funerals provide extra income.  We have an Allen 2-manual electronic organ (looking to upgrade) and an upright piano. The Old Dutch Church, Kingston, NY, a historic, vibrant, welcoming and affirming congregation in the Reformed tradition is seeking an organist to lead the congregation and choir in its music ministry, to begin as soon as possible. Skill in piano and improvisation are desirable. Responsibilities include playing for our weekly 10:30 AM Sunday service, other Holy Days and special service, and weekly choir rehearsals September through June (roughly ten hours per week). We are committed to include in our worship the rich diversity of musical gifts that the Holy Spirit has inspired across time, space, and cultures. MUSIC DIRECTOR (Part-Time)
FIRST CONGREGATIONAL UNITED CHURCH OF CHRIST - POUGHKEEPSIE, NY
Seeking a music director with experience accompanying congregational singing with piano and/or organ starting August 1, 2017. One Sunday service at 10:30 AM, with additional seasonal services. Adult choir rehearses prior to the Sunday service at 9:00 AM, with occasional mid-week choir rehearsal. Weekly worship planning meeting with Pastor. Weddings and Funerals as needed based on availability (first right of refusal). Salary range is $11,000-$14,000 (commensurate with experience). The church is equipped with a 3-manual 1902 Midmer pipe organ with Austin console (approximately 50 ranks), a Roland DP-990F digital piano (88 keys), an old Steinway & Sons grand piano, a multi-octave set of Malmark handbells, as well as a set of handchimes. MUSIC DIRECTOR/ORGANIST - (Part-Time)
FIRST METHODIST CHURCH OF VOORHEESVILLE - VOOREESVILLE, NY
One Sunday service at 10:00 AM. Additional services Christmas Eve (1 with Choir and one with a soloist/small group), Thursday and Friday services during Holy Week. Other services as needed/requested by Pastor or Worship team. Choir rehearsal (20 members) on Thursday evenings from 7:00 - 8:00 PM and before worship on Sunday morning. Any Weddings/funerals would be compensated by the families that request music for the services - this is negotiated by the family and the organist. The Austin pipe organ has two manuals and pedals and is in excellent working order. It was built in 1922 and moved to its current location in 1956, and has been well maintained over the years. There is also a Kawai KSP 30 Keyboard that is used for some anthems. Salary: $6,000 - $11,000 dependent upon experience and willingness to not only accompany, but also direct the choir.

We are an active congregation, and many have a love for music. Our current worship experience is mainly "Traditional" in nature, with a few modern elements, and there is a possibility of a second service that will be completely different in nature in the future (Though this isn't on our radar at this current time.)
