This is considered the most original antique organ in the area. It appears in an

1869 Jardine brochure as the first organ in the United Presbyterian Church, Amenia.

It was replaced by a larger and considerably louder organ in 1871 whose characteristic

"Jardine bulge" front pipes partially cover the stained-glass window in the front of that church. In 1888 this organ was procured from Jardine for the then-new Immaculate Conception. Except for electric blowing there have been no alterations made to this instrument. It still retains the original 25-note flat, radiating pedalboard, and the original gilding and stenciling on the pipes of the façade.
